Cancer Care Team
The Cancer Committee is a multidisciplinary standing committee charged with the leadership of the cancer program. The Committee meets at least quarterly; its duties include:
Developing and evaluating goals and objectives for the cancer program.
Promoting a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
Ensuring that education and consultative conferences cover all major sites.
Monitoring quality management through patient care studies.
Promoting clinical research.Supervising the Cancer Registry to verify that standards are met or exceeded.
Encouraging data usage.
Upholding medical ethical standards.
Collaborating with the Cancer Center of Excellence Operations Council to create a center of excellence which is regionally recognized in both quality clinical care and seamless, timely service for cancer patients and their families.
