Position Summary - RN is a member of the patient care team within the Department of Home Health and is directly accountable to the Nurse Manager.  The position requires that the individual be clinically competent.
QUALIFICATIONS – Diploma from accredited school of nursing.  Must have successfully completed at least 825 clinical practice hours for B.S. program and at least 750 clinical practice hours for A.D. program.  These hours are exclusive of laboratory hours.  Minimum one year medical/surgical nursing or equivalent preferred.  Current license to practice in State of Mississippi.  Current certification in CPR.  Current Mississippi driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.

Position Summary - Provides general psychiatric care and treatment to patients in the clinic and/or inpatient facility in collaboration/consultation with a psychiatrist currently holding an unrestricted license in Mississippi.  In accordance with their Board of Nursing approved protocol, the psychiatric nurse practitioner will assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental illnesses.  Additionally, the psychiatric nurse practitioner will provide core education and counseling to promote mental health. 
QUALIFICATIONS – Graduate of a recognized RN program. Must hold a current license to practice professional nursing in state of Mississippi as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

(0311) NURSE PRACTITIONER: (FULL-TIME) NEONATOLOGY SERVICES
Position Summary - The NNP manages a caseload of patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nurseries with consultation, collaboration, and general supervision from a neonatologist.  Exercises independent judgments in assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of certain delegated medical processes and procedures.  The NNP implements the additional roles of advanced practice including researcher, administrator, consultant, and educator to benefit and improve the profession, client and community.  Must be accepted for and maintain professional liability coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS - Accredited Master's Degree Nursing program designed to prepare Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to provide acute care services.  Current license - Mississippi State Neonatal Nurse Practitioner License; Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification through National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Specialties.

Position Summary – Shall be licensed in the State of Mississippi and must practice according to a Board approved protocol which has mutual agreement of and by a Mississippi licensed physician and the approval by the Board of Trustees.  Confers with physician(s) concerning assigned patients.  Keep physician(s) informed, as is appropriate, of needs and problems related to patient care.  Implements and maintains established Clinic policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.  Interprets these to physician(s), patients, and public as is appropriate. 
QUALIFICATIONS – Master’s Degree in Nursing with Family Practice focus.  Previous work experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner preferred.  Current license as an APRN by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing.  Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

(0307) PATIENT CARE MANAGER: LABOR & DELIVERY (FULL-TIME)
Position Summary - The Patient Care Manager is accountable and responsible 24 hours a day for managing and guiding all the activities of the unit including, but not limited to, the staff, environment, and patients.  In addition, the Patient Care Manager is held accountable for functioning within the unit budget by using cost-effective methods while maintaining safe quality patient care.  She/he is directly accountable and responsible to the area Director of Nursing. Employs organizational strategies in a balanced approach that produces meaningful contributions to each element of the Formula for Success. Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct. 
QUALIFICATIONS – BSN from a recognized RN program required. Current RN license - Mississippi State Board of Nursing. Two to five years post-graduate progress in nursing with demonstrated leadership behaviors. Must be able to clinically participate in all components of the nursing process specific to the type of patients on the unit.

Position Summary - Performs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and is delegated an assignment by him/her to achieve quality patient care. Assists the Associate RN in the implementation of the nursing process by providing direct patient care as evidenced, but not limited to, patient care documentation, direct observation, and patient evaluations.  Responsible and accountable to the Nurse Manager of the unit.
QUALIFICATIONS - Graduate of a recognized LPN program.  Must have successfully completed at least 770 clinical practice hours for LPN program.  These hours are exclusive of laboratory hours.  One year LPN experience preferred.  Must hold a current license to practice nursing in state of Mississippi, be certified in the expanded role of an LPN or be eligible for certification.

Position Summary – Performs under the direct supervision of the Director of Quality Management Services and is accountable for providing leadership in planning, implementing, evaluating, and integrating performance measurement and improvement activities.  Facilitates the construction of clinical pathways using an evidence-based approach plus the input and clinical experience of those who will be using the guidelines.  Blends the pathway program with care management initiatives across the continuum.  Responsible for patient outcome information management functions including design, analysis, and interpretation.  Collaborates with administrative and clinical leaders to resolve outcome issues.  
QUALIFICATIONS – BS degree in nursing with statistical and basic computer knowledge.  A minimum of five years of diverse clinical nursing practice.  Must hold a current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Mississippi.

(0217) RESPIRATORY THERAPIST: (FULL-TIME) RESPIRATORY THERAPY/NICU
Position Summary – Performs, monitors, and evaluates procedures as ordered by the physician for both general and acute care of all age patients and various diagnoses. Perform specific tasks as designated by supervisor with the ability to complete most tasks independently. Disassembles, cleans, disinfects, sterilizes, and assembles all types of respiratory equipment. 
QUALIFICATIONS – Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program required. Certified by NBRC and licensed by MS State Board of Health.  NICU experience required.

Position Summary – Responsible for the implementation of the physician’s order for physical therapy services. The Physical Therapist should provide all necessary aspects of physical therapy in order to facilitate the return of the patient to as independent and safe lifestyle as possible.

Position Summary - Implements designated treatment plans, provides objective feedback on patient performance and assists in the development enhancement of the therapeutic environment under the direction of the Registered Occupational Therapist. 
QUALIFICATIONS - Graduate of an approved occupational assistant program.  Hold a valid permanent or temporary license as an occupational therapy assistant from the Mississippi State Department of Health.

Position Summary – Participates as a Nutrition Services member of the Nutrition Support Team.  Completes nutritional assessments. Designs, recommends, and implements specialized nutrition regimens for patients being followed by the Nutrition Support Team. 
QUALIFICATIONS – An undergraduate and/or advanced degree from an accredited school with a major in food and nutrition or dietetics, human nutrition.  Registered by the Commission on
Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.  Three years as a clinical dietitian. 
Licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Health; Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian 
required within three years of employment.

Position Summary – Performs and/or oversees admission and concurrent review of all federally funded and other focused patient groups.  Ensures that quality assurance monitoring and evaluation systems are implemented and ongoing throughout the hospital and are in compliance with regulatory standards.

PROFESSIONAL/ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS:

(0990) ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: (FULL-TIME) HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
Position Summary – Directs all departmental functions related to the Hospital’s Health Information Management Department to include Cancer Registry, Transcription, and Release of Information, Document Imaging, Discharge Analysis, and Record Completion. Manages the day-to-day operations of the Coding Department. Performs monthly audits of inpatient and outpatient records for compliance to establish coding practices to assure that diagnoses and procedures assigned reflect the documentation performed on the patient record. Responsible for development and presentation of staff education designed to address coding and compliance issues. Serves on the Corporate Compliance Committee. Provides Support and development opportunities for HIM personnel. Assists with special projects and data gathering. Supports the Hospital’s quality improvement program.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor of Science Degree in Registered Record Administration from an accredited university is preferred. Three or more years experience in Health Information Management is desirable. Prefer a working knowledge of medical records systems and experience with various computer software environments including Microsoft Office, SoftMed applications, flow-charting, and other data analysis skills. Certification as a Registered Record Administrator in the state of Mississippi preferred. CPC-H or CCS Certified preferred.

(0871) CHARGEMASTER COORDINATOR: (FULL-TIME) PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES
Position Summary – Reports directly to the Revenue Cycle Director.  Responsible for the overall accuracy and effectiveness of the charge description master (CDM).  Possesses requisite managerial and technical abilities to provide leadership and direction in developing and maintaining systems, processes and work flows, for the timely and accurate recording of hospital revenue in regards to charge capture, maintenance of the charge description master, and addressing changes in third-party payor systems for the organization. Leads the Chargemaster Committee.  Monitors charges to ensure coding and pricing accuracy.  Develops a thorough understanding of payor regulations to insure that proper updates are implemented.  Development and maintenance of a collaborative working relationship with each revenue producing department.   Provides support and education to departments to ensure proper maintenance of the CDM.  Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma required.  Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, business, accounting, hospital administration or related field is strongly preferred.  Strong CPT and ICD-9 coding experience required.  Excellent PC skills required, specifically with Microsoft Excel and Word programs.  Minimum of two years experience in a chargemaster management or coding position, or nursing/utilization management position, preferably in an acute care hospital or similar institution, is required.

Position Summary – The Director of Patient Financial Services reports to the Director, Revenue Cycle, and ultimately the C.F.O. Is responsible for directing the patient accounting functions for Forrest General Hospital.  Responsible for the overall patient account management process.  Assigned areas of responsibility include patient accounts, third-party billing and follow-up, governmental billing and follow-up, self-pay collections, outside collection services, cash applications, credit balance coordination, customer service, departmental budget, and applicable involvement with any related Patient Financial Services functions at all extensions of Forrest General Hospital.   Employs organizational strategies in a balanced approach that produces meaningful contributions to each element of the Formula for Success.  Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct. 
QUALIFICATIONS – Bachelor’s degree is required; bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or
hospital administration preferred.  5 years experience in health care patient accounts
management, preferably in an acute care hospital or similar institution, is required.  Six months
probationary on the job training is required to become familiar with Forrest General Hospital
policies and procedures.  SMS Invision knowledge preferred.  Must be proficient in Microsoft
Excel and Microsoft Word, and have good overall computer skills. HFMA certification
preferred.

(0183) INSURANCE BILLER: (FULL-TIME) PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES
Position Summary –Ensure prompt and efficient filing of all inpatient and outpatient claims through the automated claims filing system.  Responsible for processing all SSI error claims on a daily basis.  Ensures that the hold claims are at an acceptable level.  Communicates with the appropriate departments to ensure data is obtained timely in order to file the claim.  Ensures there is no excessive and/or unjustified amount of backlogged claims in the work area.   Maintains a clear understanding of goals set and strives to meet these goals weekly.  Able to perform manual intervention of claims such as “split bill”, add room charges, or any other procedure necessary to process an account.  Responsible for filing all claims requiring special documentation.  Each claim must be reviewed and mailed on a daily basis.
QUALIFICATIONS – High school diploma or equivalent required.  2 years experience as an insurance biller, preferably in a hospital business office.  Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance preferred.  CPAR preferred.

Position Summary – Directs all departmental functions related to the Hospital's Health Information Management Department and Medical Library Services.  Works in an administrative, financial, and clinical capacity relative to the implementation and monitoring of systems necessary for the Hospital's Health Information Management Program and Medical Library Services.  Provides leadership in the Hospital’s Enterprise Document Imaging business operations. Provides support and development opportunities for Health Information Management and Medical Library Services personnel.  Good organizational skills are necessary for assisting in the planning, directing, and evaluating Department functions.  Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS – Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Administration or related field from an accredited university is required.  A minimum of five years experience in health information management leadership role or clinical nursing/hospital administration role is required.  Electronic medical record experience preferred.  Must have a working knowledge and experience with information systems management, health information management and ICD 9/CPT coding functions.  Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) strongly preferred.

(0090) MEDICAL AUDITOR: (FULL-TIME) CORPORATE COMPLIANCE
Position Summary - Responsible for performing audits that involve the review of medical record documentation and corresponding charges and coding to assess compliance with all regulations of federal and state agencies and third party payors.  Conducts internal investigations of changes in coding practices or reports of other potential problems pertaining to coding.  Responsible for auditing and investigating patient inquiries regarding services provided.  Responsible for coordinating and scheduling all third party chart audits.  Will work closely with the Revenue Cycle Director to ensure that communication regarding documentation and reimbursement issues is timely, accurate and complete.  Will assist the Corporate Compliance Officer in maintaining the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program.  Reports to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS – Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Business
Administration or health related field required.  Extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding
required.  A working knowledge of medical terminology, patient care services and medical
record chart documentation (inpatient and outpatient) is also required.   Must have extensive
knowledge of medical diagnosis, treatment protocol, and current federal and state healthcare
rules and regulations sufficient to verify billing compliance.  Familiarity with Microsoft
Windows and Microsoft Office products required.  Must have effective written and oral
communication skills and be able to work with all levels of management.  Three to four years
recent experience in hospital operations, medical record auditing, coding, billing, or 
reimbursement required.  Working knowledge of health care compliance regulations
required.  Professional certification such as CCS, CCS-P or ART preferred.

Position Summary – Occupies and manages the front desk.  This includes, but is not limited to, politely and efficiently greeting patients and visitors, taking phone messages, setting up patient charts, using the SMPG computer system as it relates to admission, insurance claims, and/or financial aspects of the patients visit, as well as scheduling appointments.  Responsible for taking all referral calls concerning prospective patients, verifying/pre-certifying insurance benefits and making financial arrangements with patients or guarantors before admission.

Position Summary - Helps to expedite nutritional care and foodservice to all patients.  Duties include:  Receiving patient information regarding allergies, likes, dislikes, meal choices, and entering this data in the Diet Office program, providing diet education material, processing data to provide tray line with correct meal choices for patients; preparing, planning, writing, and checking menus; and preparing requisitions to meet patient needs. Will complete clinical tasks to include the calculation and documentation of nutrient intake. Executes other related duties as assigned. 
Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required.  Prefer Bachelors/Associate degree or currently pursuing a degree in food and nutrition, institution management, dietetics, home economics education or other related fields.  Six months experience as clerk-typist or equivalent type work experience required.  Must be able to type 35 wpm and possess good penmanship.  Must have working knowledge to handle office equipment.

Position Summary – Performs patient examinations and related activities; performs patient exams in accordance with established protocols, reviews films prior to submission to radiologists, maintains patient records, assures the patient's clinical history is complete, completes associated paperwork, performs QA/QC equipment tests (x-ray and lab equipment), archives and films patient examination, stocks exam rooms with basic supplies, starts IV's and veinopuncture, maintains and adheres to accepted sterile techniques and provides clean environment within examination area, shares emergency call as required.

(0469) NUCLEAR MED TECH: (FULL-TIME) RADIOLOGY-NUCLEAR MEDICINE
Position Summary – Perform patient examinations and related activities.  Perform patient exams in accordance with established protocols.  Review patient films for technical quality prior to submission for the radiologist's interpretation.  Maintain patient records as required.  Assure that the patient's clinical history is complete.  Complete associated paperwork.  Process film.  Perform QA/QC equipment tests.  Archive and film patient examinations.  Start IVs and/or administer contrast media.  Maintain and adhere to accepted sterile techniques and provide a clean environment within the examination area.  Share emergency call as required.  Knowledge base in the care of children (pediatric), adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.  Transport patients as needed.  Order supplies when required.  Arrange for equipment maintenance when required.  
Qualifications – Graduate from an approved AMA school of nuclear medicine.  One year work
experience in a nuclear medicine department preferred.  CPR certified.

Qualifications – High School Diploma or GED required.  Minimum of 6 months experience in food service operation that provides catering services.  Prefer individual who has worked as FGH Cafeteria Host/Hostess, Dietetic Aide or Production Assistant for minimum of 6 months.

Position Summary – Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Safety or designee provides for a customer/guest oriented management of the Hospital environment for overall assurance of public safety.  Performs general public safety, law enforcement duties and investigation in the protection of life and property.  Responsible for prevention of crimes, apprehension of criminals and enforcement of all applicable federal, state, and local laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents.
Qualifications – High school diploma or equivalent required, college preferred.  Ability to
communicate clearly, read, write/document thoroughly, and follow written or oral instructions. 
Ability to successfully complete continuing in-service training.  Ability to successfully
complete basic police academy.  One year or more experience with law enforcement preferred. 
Extensive related work experience may substitute for law enforcement experience.  Must Have
Mississippi drivers license with no serious driving record, and no felony or significant
misdemeanor.  Ability to meet Mississippi's Board of Law Enforcement Standards and Training
certification requirements.

Position Summary – Under the general supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services and/or the coordinators responsible for the day to day operation of the department, trains, directs, supervises, and coordinates activities of the foodservice employees receiving, preparing, cooking, issuing, and serving foods that meet quality and quantity standards of the department and the desires of the various customers served.
Qualifications – Prefer Bachelors degree in hotel and restaurant or related field.  Associate
degree in dietetic technology and/or successful completion of approved dietary manager's
correspondence course.  Will accept high school graduate or successful completion of GED
with required work experience. Bachelor degree and/or Associate Degree - no additional work
experience required.  High school graduate or equivalent - minimum three years work
experience in a management or leadership position.  Food service experience preferred. 
Certification as Dietary Manager by American Hospital Association credential agency.
