Coronary Care Unit
Forrest General Hospital's Coronary Care Unit (CCU)-Mississippi's first-provides intensive care for patients with heart disease. CCU's concentration of skilled personnel and state-of-the-art equipment provides patients with the finest intensive care available.
CCU also monitors patients at other hospitals through the Southeast Mississippi Remote Monitoring system, established in 1976. This system allows a patient to stay at their hometown hospital while receiving monitoring support and cardiology consultation.
